Path of Exile item upgrading (http://delphi.larsbo.org/user/smileboy8)
Item upgrading allows players to improve their weapons and gear by adding new affixes that boost its stats base or providing additional benefits. To upgrade items, players must have the item upgrades in their inventory, and also access the kiln.
Typically items with weak bases (like rings) can be upgraded to a more powerful base, while objects with strong bases, such as eth titans do not vary in their stats following being upgraded.
Upgrade components
Upgrade components are items that can be used to upgrade trinkets, armor, weapons and gathering tools, giving an attribute bonus or extra effect when the equipment is in use. They can be bought from vendors, retrieved in loot from enemies, or received from missions and chests. Some upgrades have additional cosmetic effects. Most upgrades require that the equipment be at a certain level before you can upgrade.
To upgrade an Best item upgrade of armor, the user must select it and then click the Upgrade button in the toolbar. This will display a preview on the right side of the screen that shows what the expected upgrade statistics will be and also the material or component needed to make that happen.
There are three kinds that are universal upgrades (which include gems) prefix upgrades and suffix upgrade components. Universal upgrades, which comprise gems, can be put in any kind of equipment, and offer lower bonuses than upgrade components that are restricted to a specific type. Infusions are jewels that can only be used in legendary and ascended equipment. They provide the same benefits as jewels, but cannot be used in any other equipment. Suffix upgrades that can be put in gathering tools, include their name at the end of the name of the item they are attached to, for instance adding an Glyph to the Staff Wrapping of Minor Vigor would transform it into a Canthan Staff Wrapping of Minor Vigor.
If a player upgrades a gathering tool and replaces the glyphs by a different one the old one will be returned to their inventory. If you replace another upgrade component the item will be destroyed, except for inscriptions, which are able to be swapped.
Leveling
Path of Exile's upgrade process differs from previous versions in some fundamental ways. Gear is now broken down into tracks, and items can only be upgraded a specific number of times before they are "leveled out." The upgrade cost increases with each level however, the materials needed do not increase as much. This allows players to concentrate their efforts on a couple of important items to maximize their impact, rather than spreading out the cost of upgrades across several pieces.
This allows the item to receive new upgrade components and a higher chance of success. This bonus is referred to as the Artisan's Energy and it resets to 0 in the event of failure, or increases when the upgrade is successful.
Once a piece of gear is upgraded to its highest level it can be eligible to be given affixes that boost its attributes. The amount of affixes available is determined by the item's class. For example an uncommon or exclusive weapon that has a standard base will only have two affixes. A legend armor will have eight affixes.
Each upgrade step will require an amount of Flightstones and crests, depending on the current level of the item upgrades and the item slot it's in. Typically, weapons will require more Flightstones to upgrade than other kinds of equipment.
If an item does not reach its max level The NPC will offer the player the option of transfer it to another person and then re-infuse the item with another set of upgrades. The process can take as long as two hours and costs the same amount of materials however it will have less chance of success.
Engineers use a level in order to compare the height of the building with a known point, like an existing benchmark. This method is known as a "level-loop." This involves taking readings using the level, backsighting rod and then turning the level to take the foresighting rod reading. This method helps ensure that buildings are built to a high standard of safety and accuracy.
Rerolling
Rerolling refers to the process of changing an item's upgrade components. It is a vital aspect of the game and can significantly improve an item's strength, damage, or other attributes. You can do this via the menu for items, or by pressing the Reroll button whenever you upgrade an item. Rerolling can be costly and should only be used in the rarest of circumstances.
The game allows players to recycle upgraded items, which can be used to acquire Reroll tokens. These tokens can be used to upgrade the original item or another similar item. Recyclable items come with a gauge that shows the amount of upgrade. The cost and rarity of upgrading an item will determine the level of filling.
In the past, some upgrade items were affixed with priority that made them easier to roll for than others. This meant that you'd get the stats that mattered most to your build more often than other. This included stats like the armor's total armour, thorns and diminished duration due to control or the weapons' bonus attack speed and strike chance.
This has changed since the most recent patch. Priority affixes have been removed and all upgrades will have the same chances of rolling for all stats. This can be good or bad, based on what you're looking for and want from your equipment.
Each upgraded item can also have a unique bonus that boosts the item's power by a set percentage or flat value. These bonuses are added into the usual affixes. The more you improve an item, the better the chance of receiving the bonus of your choice.
The game also includes number sets that give an extra bonus when three or four upgraded items from the set are equipped on an item. This is a great method of giving a character a lot more power without spending a ton of money.
Many players choose to reroll their gear and weapons, especially in the early stages of the game. This is because rerolling can provide a much faster path to a powerful character and allows them to climb high tiers and progress the game much more quickly.
Sets
Sets are collections that can be arranged differently. They can have different dimensions, contain no elements at all or contain a single element. They can be used for organizing data or sorting information. They can also be useful in analyzing patterns. Sets can be categorized in several ways, including by size and shape.
The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom offers an extensive selection of upgradeable set items. Certain items are worth upgrading, while some aren't. Armor sets with high defense values or set bonuses are typically worth upgrading. Weapon upgrades aren't as effective in improving stats as their counterparts in purple. This makes them less attractive to upgrade if you already have lots of armor or weapons already.
Some set items are upgraded to take advantage of their unique procs that can be useful in some builds. Guillaume's Face face and Aldur's Advance boots are two examples of this. Both were upgraded to Extraordinary Winged Helms and Exceptional Mirrored Boots, respectively. This increased their defense from 217 to 321. (Strength requirements and Level requirements also increased).
Upgrades can also be made to bring certain items up to the level of the tiers. For example the Immortal King set has a wide range of levels, ranging between 29 and 76. Upgrades to lower level items can enhance their defense, and improve their performance when it comes to damage.
Clicking the Upgrade button will show the attributes of the item as well as the items required to upgrade it. The item's attributes will be displayed as well as any necessary items. To upgrade item the No-mouth Face, for example, 1.1K Scrap Materials will be required, 250 Enchanted Dust and 5 Glowing Shards. Alternatively, players can go to the Leaderboard or Golden vendor in Cyrodiil to check the upgrade requirements of specific items.
In general, weapons and armor have a higher trade value when they are fully updated. Upgrades to gold are recommended for weapons that have weapons-damage or spell glyphs. This will result in a significant improvement in their stats. Weapons with an upgraded appearance will benefit from this upgrade, since its defense value will increase as it goes from purple to gold.
