WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader
Upgrades give a guaranteed boost to certain stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item by 3. A random additional substat is also boosted alongside each upgrade.
Upgraded gear generally sees more value in trade as long as it meets low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or a very high stat variance (like eth titan weapons). The latter see less value from upgrading due to the requirement to roll to get a perfect version.
Recycle Points
The item upgrader mod upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by giving the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of weapon or armor. However, the item used to upgrade will be consumed for the duration of time and can't be used again. Upgrades can be used to create enchantments.
You can upgrade your gear at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader once every few weeks to ensure that your equipment is up-to-date.
The cost of upgrades will vary based on the current level of the gear being upgraded, but will always be less expensive than buying new equipment from other sources. For example upgrading a Benthic chest piece to 385 levels will cost 20 recycle points, purchasing a similar piece from another player will costs 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are useful items that can be used to upgrade weapons and tools, armor and accessories. They can be purchased through NPCs who sell upgrades to item upgrades owners in a variety of currencies. They are also available on random treasure lists. Once an upgrade is purchased it can be used on any weapon or tool with an button, which will show a preview of the item upgrader kit at its next upgrade level when the player has enough materials.
The cost of upgrades varies based on the slot of the item and the current item level as well as the level of the weapon, which is more than gloves or bracers, for instance. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones plus a specific number of crests. Some upgrades give discounts on Flightstones. After an item level upgrade (articlescad.com) has been upgraded to a certain amount it is able to be downgraded and sold to the upgrader at a lower cost.
Many locations offer item upgraders, including the main Island and some outposts. The NPCs provide both an upgrade coupon as well as the possibility of getting a new recipe. The discount on upgrades increases when more items are upgraded. It can be increased if players finish certain achievements or quests.
Unlike Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II there is no upgrader for items available in the beginning of Icewind Dale. The NPCs that can assist with upgrades are only available through a variety of methods. This is both a benefit and a drawback.
In Season 3 the upgrade system has been tweaked a bit, with some new features added. Once a player obtains an upgrade to a particular item level for a particular armor slot, upgrading additional items to the same level will cost less even if they belong to another set of gear.
The discount is available to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests required to upgrade is cut also, but is only available when certain milestones are achieved.
Crests
When it comes to upgrading gear in WoW players have a variety of options. Flightstones are an option that is accessible to all players for upgrading. Crests are more specialized and are used for specific item level upgrades. Crests are a key element of the Dragonflight gear progression system that was introduced in 10.1, and come in 4 ranks.
The first thing to note is that crests are only able to be used to purchase equipment of a particular rank, and each rank has different requirements for its upgrade path. The simplest and easiest upgrade costs 15 crests. The most complicated upgrade requires up to 20 crests, depending on the type of equipment being upgraded.
Players can earn crests by completing content of the appropriate level, whether that involves walking around and engaging in outdoor activities for gear of lower tiers, raids or dungeons of all difficulties for higher-tier items, or Mythic+ heroic raid bosses or dungeons to obtain endgame gear. These crests are then exchanged with an item upgrader such as Cuzolth or Vaskarn, in Valdrakken for the appropriate upgrade steps and pathways.
The new currency system isn't complicated to use, but it will bring some modifications to the upgrade process. For example, once a piece of equipment reaches the highest upgrade level of any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic), it won't require Flightstones to be upgraded. This change is intended to allow players to upgrade their equipment to the highest possible ilvl for all their characters rather than relying solely on seasonal loot.
It's also crucial to choose crests in a wise manner, as they only have one use. For instance, it's a good idea utilize all of your Whelpling rank crests on the top gear you have available and then save Drake and Wyrm crests to use for the next set of upgrades you're planning to create. This is especially applicable to items like trinkets and rings that fill several slots. The discount for the entire account is only applicable when all slots on the character are filled with high-quality gear.
