Buying a Pram Newborn
Parents and caregivers can count on pushchairs and prams to be versatile and multi-functional. They are the co-pilots of your child's next adventure.

A pram is typically equipped with a bassinet but can be transformed into a stroller seat when baby is ready.
Safety
Newborns are extremely fragile and should be kept as secure as you can. Purchasing a stroller or pram with safety features will ensure that your baby is safe and safe during their travels. A stroller or pram should include a break that is working, a 5-point harness (2 shoulder straps and two waist straps and the crotch belt) and a wrist tether for the person driving it. Check that your chosen pram is up to the standards before you purchase.
Find a pram that allows your baby to be seated in the suggested lie-flat position. This position supports your baby and helps prevent the development of a risky curve in their spine that can lead to problems with their spine. It also reduces the chance of SUID (Sudden Unexpected Infant Death Syndrome) or asphyxiation, by keeping the airways open. Most prams that can be used from birth will include an infant seat that can recline into a lie-flat pram position for infants and convert into a pushchair seat unit for older children.
The suspension of a pram will determine how smoothly it runs. A pram that has lots of spring suspension will be more expensive however it is worth the extra expense in the event that you plan to use your pram each for a while or more.
Always read the instructions and read the warning labels on your stroller or pram. When not using it, place your stroller in a safe area away from any potential hazards like traffic, bicycles or other people. Also, you should remove any bags or other items that are not removed from the handles, as they could cause your baby to become caught or choke.
Even if the baby is asleep, it's never an ideal idea to leave a pram or lightweight stroller unattended. They could wriggle into the stroller and become trapped, or it could be pushed away and cause injuries. It's not recommended to hang bags or other things off the handles as they may fall and hit your baby in the head.

They create a nest-like space that is a comfortable place for your baby and can be removed easily from the frame. Others, such as the egg2's bucket-style seat do not recline to lie flat, but they still offer a comfortable ride for your baby.
Some prams come with a separate seat or bassinet for the newborn. This allows you to effortlessly switch between sitting and sleeping positions based on the requirements of your baby. This is often referred to as a "travel system" and is the first setup you should test out with your baby.
Look for a pram with two shoulder straps that are ideally padded and a five-point safety harness. It must fit your child's body comfortably. Make sure there aren't any gaps or loose areas where fingers can be trapped. Also, make sure that the buckles are easy for older children to use. It's also worth considering whether you'd like a parent facing pram or not - it's ideal to watch your little one and helps them feel reassured by the familiarity of their parents.

This is a great way to maintain eye contact with your baby and stay in contact, particularly when they're sleeping. Convenience
When buying a pram newborn it is crucial to think about your baby's needs for transport. It's important to note that some prams and strollers can be transformed into travel systems permitting you to connect a car capsule with the frame using adaptors so that you can transfer your child between the car and the pushchair without having to wake them up. These are great when you have a busy schedule or you don't have enough space in your car's boot to accommodate a pram. However, you should be aware that you will need to wait until your child is old enough to sit up on their own before you change them from a car capsule to pushchair.
Another feature you may want to look out for is the ability to raise and lower the infant's seat from a low to a high setting, which allows you to maintain eye contact with them and keeps them close to you, something that our parent tester found was really useful with her 10-month-old boy!
