Pokemon GO Upgrade Items and Components
An upgrade item is an item that will make certain Pokemon change. The upgrade can be obtained by spinning a photo disc, and is often offered as a reward in Pokemon GO events.
Upgrades can be used on armors, weapons, trinkets, and gathering tools in order to increase the level of their item. The upgrade costs Flightstones or crests, based on the type of item level upgrade.
Upgrade components
Upgrade components can be slotted into weapons, armor, trinkets, and gathering tools to give attribute bonuses or additional effects when the equipment is used. The equipment that is upgraded must have an upgrade slot to accommodate the component, and the majority of upgrade components require the item upgrades to be upgraded to be at an amount. Certain upgrade items come with special visual effects that appear when they are applied. Upgrade components can be acquired through crafting, purchased from karma merchants or exchanged with other players on the Trading Post, taken from equipment, or as rewards during games.
A variety of upgrade components are available, each of which offers a different bonus. Universal upgrades, such as gems and inscriptions can be used on any kind of equipment. They provide fewer bonuses than the other types of upgrade component. Infusions can be utilized on non-amulet or legendary ascended items, and enrichments can be used on some back equipment that is ascended. The majority of upgrade components can be replaced if they are inserted into an item, however doing so destroys the previous upgrade. The only exceptions are glyphs, which can only be used in gathering tools, as well as enchantments. Both can be removed and reinserted.
Insignias and enchantments will be displayed their names on the hover display of the item upgrade, while prefix and suffix upgrades will add their name to the end of the equipment's name (e.g. for example, a Radiant Insignia on Tyrian Armor would change the name to Radiant Tyrian Armor). The number of upgrade components that have been added to an equipment piece will be displayed in the tooltip for the item.
Glyphs
Glyphs are special characters that can be added into an OpenType font to add decorative or functional elements, like ligatures, fractions, ornaments, swashes registered trademark symbols, and ellipses. The Glyphs panel lets you view and insert these special characters along with standard glyphs such as em dashes and en dieshes registered trademark symbols and glyphs that do not appear in other fonts (such as dingbats).
Each Glyph gives an initial boost to the stats of the character. It also comes with up to four Secondary Stats that affect the radius of the glyph on your Paragon Board. Secondary Stats are a percentage increase that is multiplied by additional bonuses, excluding Speed Glyphs that directly increase the speed of the hero.
Selecting the Glyphs and then clicking "enchant" will activate the Glyphs. This will bring up a new window that displays the Glyphs you have that can be applied to the selected item. You are only able to apply the appropriate Glyph to the selected item. Each weapon or armor piece has its own collection of Glyphs.
Glyphs can be upgraded by completing Nightmare Dungeons or completing Tree of Whisper quests. The more difficult the area is, the more Glyph experience you'll gain. Once a Glyph attains level 15 and is upgraded, it is upgradeable at the Glyph Upgrade Altar. The radius of the Paragon Board increases by one node each 15 levels that a Glyph is upgraded.
Once a Glyph has reached the desired level, it is possible to activate it. Select it and click the "enchant button". The resulting glyph will offer its stated benefit and increase the number of nodes that are within its radius on the Paragon Board. It's important to place Glyphs in the best locations to benefit your game, which is why it's recommended to prioritize Magic Glyphs early on. Some glyphs, however, could offer double bonuses when certain conditions are fulfilled and therefore are worth checking out for too.
If you're having difficulty finding a specific glyph, click the cycle widget on the Glyphs panel to display the panel in a variety of views. Each view shows the Glyphs using a different font. You can narrow down the selection of glyphs by choosing an option below "Entire Font". For example, punctuation only displays punctuation glyphs. Math Symbols limit the choices to mathematical symbols.
Rerolling
Rerolling involves establishing an account with a brand new username in order to increase your chances of obtaining the character or weapon you'd like. This can be done to assist you in gaining more experience or to gain more loot, for example, an improved weapon for your character. A lot of players will repeat the roll until the character they desire is available, regardless of its ability. This could be because they like the character's style or their personality.
You must ensure that you make a clean change when you restart. This means that you must verify locally that the patch passes the pre-commit tests and run a core development check. It is also recommended to upload the patch to an issue with an unmodified diff (see What about an interdiff? ).
Rerolls can take days or weeks to complete, depending on your luck. During this time, it is recommended to avoid any optional enemy camps to save time. Also, avoid repeating quests that you can complete later on in the game. This can help you save time and energy.
Another important consideration when rerolling is to make sure you are aware of the upgrade system. There are many ways to improve your character's power and appearance. Upgrades, rerolling characters or upgrading weapons are all options. It is also important to know the limitations of the system.
Rerolling isn't a required aspect of the game, but it can be useful to increase your chances of obtaining a specific character or weapon. You can use it to determine the Best item upgrader character or to test different playstyles and builds.
Sets
A set is an object collection with 2 common attributes (like the number or eggs in a dozen, or the members of a group). Sets can be used to perform operations such as union, intersection and differences.
Upgrades make a set better than before. This means that the weapon and armor will have a higher defense and lower strength requirements.
Upgrades can bring items that are popular from single sets to parity with items in higher-end sets. For instance, upgrading Guillaume's Face helm to an Elite Spired Helm can increase the defense from 217 to 321 and reduces the strength requirement and level requirement to a more manageable range.
However, it's important to note that not all set items are suitable candidates for upgradation. Some sets, such as the FB Sorc spec's Whistan's Shield or Naj's Puzzler staff are already Exceptional and Elite in their own right and don't require any upgrades. Certain items, such as Goldwrap and Whistan's Shield (both BiS) that are often used, could require an upgrade to improve their value. It may be worth it to upgrade these items.
