World of Warcraft Item Upgrades
Item upgrades provide players with the ability to upgrade equipment that they already have. This can be done through any Best item upgrader upgrader NPC.
Generally, upgrades increase an item's main stat and give it extras depending on the item level upgrade type. Examples include Whistan's shield for FB sorcs or Goldwrap for build casters.
Armour
Armour is one of the main factors that keep Link protected from damage in the majority of situations. While it can't be upgraded like weapons, it can still be improved in different ways to improve its defence capabilities.
The fundamental idea behind armour is to safeguard animals or people from harm or injury whether from physical attack or various environmental and activity hazards. In the past, armour was primarily constructed from leather or fabric however later, metal protections were also used, especially in military applications like heavy cavalry or combat drones.
As with weapons there are a myriad of ways that armour can be upgraded, however, most of them will require a visit to one of the four Great Fairy Fountains located throughout Hyrule. Magic Items

A magical item is any item upgrade that has special properties or effects. These are usually weapons, but they could also be shields, armors, cloaks and potions. They could also be scrolls, rings or other items. Certain of these items can be made sentient.
Most magic items can be upgraded to become infused with additional abilities. This can make them more useful to players, or can help them overcome any difficult situation. A weapon infused with some special substance could be able to provide extra damage against a certain enemy type. This is particularly beneficial for characters who have reached a point at which they'll likely encounter the same type of monster in dungeons repeatedly.
A ring infused by magic may give immunity to non-magical attacks that bludgeon, pierce or cut (excluding silvered attacks) until the character takes another long rest. This is especially useful for combatants who are melee or anyone who wants to stay clear of buying an armor.

Utility Items
Utility items are those that do not fit into the categories of clothing, armor or Weapons, and provide a range of different capabilities. Utility items aren't compatible with each other, as opposed to weapons or armor. Most utility items have a passive effect that players can activate by using them. However, some have additional abilities which are activated by pressing a button or triggering a skill.
Generally speaking, the most popular type of utilitarian item is the Flashlight that illuminates the surrounding area. Other items that are useful include the Helicopter Cap and Rocket Boots which allow the player float in mid-air while moving and the Jetpack that allows him to accelerate in any directions when on the ground. Many utilitarian items can be quickly produced in the Engineering section while others are unlockable through research projects or experimental projects at the Proving Ground.
In addition to the items available in the normal inventory, players can unlock some more powerful utility items by buying them from the Atomic Shop and also from seasonal Scoreboard rewards (such as the Shadow Goggles). Certain of these items can be upgraded to allow greater effectiveness.
Most utility items enhance an individual combat ability or give the player a kind of advantage when it comes to navigation. Sharpening stones, made by the Weaponsmith will increase power and Ferocity while Maintenance Oils, crafted by an Huntsman, increase Concentration and healing power.
