Upgrading gear increases its stats base and often increases its other features. The worth of these upgrades is determined by their tiers, requirements, and the amount of random augmentations applied.

The elite racial Shield Razortail for instance, is frequently upgraded to enhance its lightning absorption function in PvP and/or provide additional defenses to missile-based designs in the PvM. This makes it more exchangeable over the unupgraded version.

Reroll Tokens

Reroll tokens are a way to reroll an item you have acquired like an armor, weapon, or rings. This allows you to swap the item for one of the same type with an additional set of bonuses. Reroll tokens are an economical method of upgrading equipment. However, they don't retain the quality of the original item and any resources wasted won't be compensated for.

Survivors may acquire reroll tokens through several means such as the Mistery Box or as rare drops from skulled creatures. They can also be located in crates and chests or bought at the local store at a cost of 150k each. Reroll tokens can be used to alter the attributes of a piece of equipment that could include increasing its damage or giving it a new stat.

Players can roll their equipment using three attributes that include physical power, magical power, and health. Physical power increases the damage done by melee and weapons while spell power upgrades mage attacks and rings. Health upgrades provide the player with an additional amount of health.

There are three types of reroll tokens: upgrade, rare and legendary. Each upgrade takes an item to a better quality, with the requirement of an upgraded reroll token in order to create it. Upgrades require a regular item. Rare upgrades require an item that is unique or legendary. Legendary upgrades require three legendary pieces.

As opposed to other tokens or markers placed on Action spaces the reroll marker stays on the space until the next success result is rerolled. This lets you avoid wasting upgrades.

Blueprints appear as envelopes at the beginning of each Preparation Phase, and can be opened by grabbing them using Interact. Once they're opened, they display a full description and icon of the appliance or ingredient that they correspond to. The restaurant's store will trade blueprints for a brand new appliance or ingredient for a small amount.

During the course of a run, blueprints can be transferred between the Staple Pool and the Non-staple pool due to the choice of Franchise Cards. This affects which blueprints the restaurant's shop has available for rerolls and which are available in the non-droppable Pool.

Growthstones

In Throne and Liberty, growth stones can be used to upgrade items armor, weapons and other items. These are special stones that increase an item's level by increasing its stats and attributes. Players can locate these items by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs located in the major towns. They can also purchase them from Contract Coin Merchants for a cost. These stones are also available to players who have completed daily contracts.

To upgrade equipment, players must first find the item they want to upgrade and then click on the "level up" button. This will show a list of the item upgrades's level, and what it will be when it is upgraded. It will also show the amount of Growth Stones required to do so. The amount of Growth Stones needed to upgrade a piece depends on its rarity. Rare (blue) rarer weapons will require more than one Growth Stone, while uncommon armor requires only one Growth Stone.

After selecting the item to upgrade the player must select the number of Growth Stones that they want to use and pay the cost. For example, a perfect-rolled 200/6 504 armor set piece is highly sought-after in the melee PvP community and could be worth 20-50x more than the non-upp'd version.

When you choose an upgrade component to be inserted into an item the game will display an open window that displays the necessary requirements. The game will display the requirements required when you select an upgrade component to slot into an item.

Once you've met the required requirements for upgrading, the game will place the item upgrader mod; visit site, in your inventory, and the progress bar will change to indicate how close to completing it. You can also check the status of an upgrade by visiting any upgrader NPC for the item you want to upgrade.
