WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader
Upgrades will give you a boost to specific stats. Each upgrade boosts the item level by +3. A random extra substat is also increased with each upgrade.
The more modernized gear generally has a higher trade value as long as it meets low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or very high stat variance (like Eth titan weapons). Upgrades aren't as important for those with higher variance due to the need to roll the perfect version.
Recycle Points
The upgrader for items allows players to upgrade their gear to a higher Best item upgrade level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of weapon or armor. The item used to upgrade the item will be consumed and can't be used again. Upgrades can be used to create enchantments.
The upgrader can be found in every major city, and can be visited anytime to upgrade your gear. To ensure that your equipment is up-to-date it is recommended that you visit the upgrader every few weeks.
Upgrades will cost more depending on the item level, but they will always be less expensive than purchasing new gear. For example, upgrading a chest piece from Benthic to ilvl 385 will cost 20 recycle points while purchasing the same item from another player will cost 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are items that can be used to purchase tools, armor, weapon and accessory upgrades. Players can purchase them through NPCs who sell upgrades to item upgrader mod owners for a variety of currencies. They are also available on random treasure lists. Once an upgrade has been purchased it can be applied to any weapon or tool with an button, which displays an item's preview at the next upgrade level when the player has enough materials.
The upgrade cost depends on the slot of the item and the current level of the item as well as the level of the weapon, which is more than gloves or bracers for example. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones and a variety of crests, with some upgrades having a discount to lower the cost of the Flightstones or the crests used. Once an item has been upgraded to a certain degree it is able to be downgraded and sold to the upgrader for a lower price.
Upgraders for items can be found in many places on the main island as well as some outposts. The NPCs offer both an upgrade coupon and the possibility of getting an entirely new recipe. The discount on upgrades increases when more items are upgraded. It can be increased by having players finish certain achievements or quests.
Icewind Dale does not have an item level upgrade (www.google.pt) upgrader at the beginning, unlike Cromwell from Baldur's gate II. The NPCs who can facilitate upgrades are only accessible through a variety of methods. This is both a benefit as well as a drawback.
In Season 3 the upgrade system has been tweaked a bit, with some new features added. Once an upgrade has been completed to a specific level for an armor slot upgrading other items to the same level, will cost less. This applies even if those items come from an entirely different set of gear.
The discount applies to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests required to upgrade is cut too, but it is only available after certain milestones are reached.
Crests
Players have several options when it comes to upgrading their equipment in WoW. Flightstones are an item that is available to everyone who wants to upgrade. Crests are more specialized and are utilized during specific item level upgrades. Crests are a key element of the Dragonflight gear progression system, which was introduced in 10.1, and come in 4 ranks.
First, you must be aware that crests are only available for equipment that is with a certain rank. Each rank has an upgrade path that is different. The simplest and simplest upgrade is 15 crests. The most complicated upgrade can require up to 20 crests, depending on the kind of equipment being upgraded.
Players can obtain crests by working through content that is of the appropriate level, which involves walking around and performing outdoor activities to get lower-tier gear, dungeons or raids of all difficulty for items of higher tier, or Mythic+ heroic raid bosses or dungeons for gear that is used in the endgame. These crests are then exchanged with an item upgrader such as Cuzolth or Vaskarn, in Valdrakken to upgrade the item in the proper steps and pathways.
The new currency system isn't complicated to use, but it does bring some changes to the process of upgrading. Once a piece of gear attains the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer) it is no longer required to purchase Flightstones. This is to allow players to upgrade their equipment to the highest ilvl possible for all their characters instead of relying on seasonal loot.
Another important modification is that crests have one use and it's crucial to use them properly. For instance, it's a good idea to make use of all your Whelpling-rank crests with the Best item upgrade gear you have available and keep Drake and Wyrm crests for the next round of upgrades you're planning to create. This is especially relevant for items like trinkets and rings that fill multiple slots. The account-wide discount will only apply when all the slots on the character are filled with high-quality gear.
