Baby Jogger City Select Stroller & City Select Car Seat
The City Select 2 Stroller Eco Collection is a versatile, multi-purpose stroller. It can be converted from a single stroller into a double stroller by adding the second seat (sold separately) or a glider board. It can also be converted into a triple travel system by adding the bench seat or an infant car seat. It has 24 options and is a top-ranked stroller overall. This model uses Baby Jogger's breathable, soft TENCEL fabrics that help with thermal regulation and are sustainably sourced. It includes a leatherette handlebar, bumper bar and belly bar. It folds 20% smaller than the industry-leading single-to-double stroller, UPPAbaby Vista V2, and is lighter, too.
It features a medium-sized shade and an e-snap-aboo window which is easy to close or open. The telescoping bar is of the most easily adjustable and works for parents of any height. The seats recline and come with a footwell adjustment button to allow you to place your child for maximum comfort. The storage bin is large however we wish it had an opening that is more secure. It's easy to access, but we discovered the zippers to be somewhat frustrating as they must be removed completely and reattached every time you use it.
Like its brothers, the City Select has single-action brakes which are easy to set and release by the release of a lever on the side of the frame lower than the handlebar. It's sandal and barefoot-friendly and is a step up from the awkward toe-pinch brake levers that many of the competitors use.
This is the only stroller we've reviewed in our review that can accept two infant car seats which makes it a great alternative for twins, or for parents with just one child and a baby due. It can be used to fit the majority of infant car seats from major brands by using an adapter. We tested it with the Britax/BOB Chicco KeyFit 30, Graco Click Connect models, Cybex Aton and Aton Q and Nuna Pipa.
The City Select is not compatible with the UPPAbaby Vista V2. The City Select is an excellent option for families that already have a car seat but need a stroller that can accommodate it. However, you may be better served with another convertible stroller for this scenario.
