10 Myths Your Boss Has Regarding Item Upgrading

From Alternative Lifestyle Wiki

World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades increase the value of certain numeric stats on weapons, armor and rings. They also boost extra bonuses such as damage from PvE and crit chance.

If the template for upgrading a weapon is %, it will gain 3percent of its previous attack damage every time it's upgraded.

Item upgrading costs crests and the current level of the item. The cost increases with item's level.

Components

Upgrade components can be added to trinkets, armor, and weapons to give them a boost in stats or an extra effect. These can be obtained through crafting, buying from vendors trading or looting. Certain upgrades have unique cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be inserted into any equipment that has a slot for them; the item must be at a minimum upgraded to blue level in order for the component to be used. Upgrade components, unlike other modifications, can only be applied once. They cannot be replaced or applied multiple times. Infusions and Enrichments are a kind of upgrade component that can be used to upgrade non-amulet legendary and Ascended equipment, as well in some items that aren't ascended. Infusions and Enrichments can be obtained by salvaging equipment from the ascended state or completing a quest in the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade can include a suffix or prefix changing the name of the equipment to the upgrade (for examplethe "Canthan Armor Insignia is changed to Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase an item's Mark Level or Rarity, allowing players create stronger versions of the equipment that require the smallest amount of Upgrade Crystals than would be required to achieve the same upgrade level through normal methods.

A 'boost' upgrade can change the attack or defense attributes of the weapon or armor. After the player has completed the cutscene and defeated Crazed Mechanist These upgrades can be crafted at the Portative Forging Station. These upgrades can be purchased by purchasing them in the cash shop or by collecting them from enemies when upgrading other gear.

The player can get up to five boost upgrades at a time. Each upgrade increases the probability that a higher-tier version of the item will be available at the time of the next reset. This gives players a reason to upgrade their gear, even if they are unsure what will be improved following a reset.

The process of upgrading an item upgrader kit could be expensive, and it is possible that the item will become obsolete or even break when the upgrade fails. Upgrade Crystals and assist powder are also destroyed when an upgrade fails. This is alleviated by the availability cash shop items that double or even eliminate the possibility of failure, as well as a few upgrades that give the benefit of being reinserted into an item.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to upgrade the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets with special functions. Glyphs can boost the performance of nodes within a radius, and include any pre-existing affixes. Glyphs can be upgraded various ways, and we recommend getting them up to level 15 as soon as you can.

You will often find in the endgame that placing Glyphs is the most effective method to upgrade your equipment. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded to level 15 and provide an enormous boost to your power on the Paragon Board.

Glyphs, which is the only upgrade component that can be removed without restriction and then replaced again are the most popular. The only exception is legendary equipment, which requires an Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and re-place.

Each Glyph has a particular range of values it can improve a statistic by. The value is shown when you select the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with another Glyph that is the same or higher rank to boost the value of the Glyph.

Glyphs are available in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of a Gem Store bundle or purchase the glyphs with certain tools that allow unlimited use and also during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt has the chance of dropping one of the many Glyphs as well as also a few rare glyphs that can be found in the form of drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

Once you have gotten the desired Glyphs you'll require them to be put on your gear. Each Glyph will grant a distinct bonus that boosts the stats of a specific set of nodes within a radius around the Glyph. It could be +40 for one of your primary stats or +25 for two of your secondary stats based on the Glyph.

Utilizing the Glyph will boost all the nodes connected to it, so it is recommended to position your Glyphs near the most important nodes of the Graph to maximize the impact. For instance that a Druid should aim to place their Glyphs near their primary damage points, but you should also think about placing them near crucial damage nodes too.

Leveling

The item upgrade system allows players to boost the stats of specific items by inserting upgraded components. This is known as "upping". Every upgradeable item is assigned a level which determines the final statistics. Upgraded items may be leveled up to a maximum of 385. Each level of an item requires different components, and upgrade costs increase with each level.

Certain upgrades require a certain ingredient to activate. This ingredient can be obtained by finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or found on the upgrade tab in crafting tables. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed results in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used for leveling up an item. Once enough points are earned you'll be able to claim your upgrade and also receive the bonuses.

When the player upgrades an item to a higher level, the original item is replaced with a different item of the same type. The same armor will receive an weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item comes with its own set of bonuses. This could be a problem because it can cause the Best item upgrade to become more expensive if you do not need it.

Item upgrades can sometimes be rerolled if the player has enough tokens in order to do so. This causes the item to be traded for a new one, which will have an initial level and a completely different set of extra bonuses. This is a good idea however it shouldn't be done often as it can waste resources.

Certain upgrades can increase their value and allow players to personalize their gear. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, as it provides buffs when the player is repeatedly in or leaves the water. It can be upgraded multiple times, each time increasing the maximum roll by an increment of 10. This item is very important in PvP. A perfectly rolled version could be worth 50 times the value of a non-upgraded version.

Requirements

The upgrade of items allows players to upgrade the level of their available gear--armor, weapons and trinkets that are above ilvl 385 by providing the appropriate items and currency to an item upgrader NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces improve the strength of their base defense and upgrades to weapon items boost their base damage as well as their strength and dexterity.

Each item can be upgraded up to five times, except for hero equipment, which can be upgraded eight times. Every time you upgrade an object it is at risk of failing. The rate of failure increases when you exceed the maximum number. Failures will result in the item reverting to its original condition, which requires the player to pay for more resources than if they had stopped upgrading after the maximum amount.

If an item fails to upgrade the amount of experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. The item upgrade also loses any bonuses it gained like the chance to crit, attack damage, or other effects (such as a higher healing rate over time, or reloading speed). The player can continue to use their weapon or armor after the failure.

When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from lowest to highest. This means that if a weapon gains an increase in crit chance the increase is applied before any increase in attack damage. A new attribute known as Slots is now added to the definition of the item and the value is computed every time an upgrade is applied.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item are dependent on its rarity score and the number of upgrade slots. The upgrade cost for non-premium items is equal to the base value of the upgrade. For example, a common equipment item might have 5 upgrades, each costing 25600 Technology Points, 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero grade items have lower costs per upgrade.

Premium items have different upgrade requirements as compared to standard equipment, for instance, they may require fewer sowels, but more minerals and erons. Regardless, the player must visit the NPC [Armorthe ] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they want to upgrade. In addition to the upgrade cost mentioned above, each upgrade requires the use of different upgrade ingredients.
