Upgrades can increase the value of armors, weapons and rings. Upgrades also boost bonuses like crit chance and PvE Damage.

Components

Upgrade components can be inserted into any equipment that has a slot for them. The item must have been at the very least upgraded to blue level for a component to be inserted. Unlike other mods, upgrade components can only be used once and can't be used multiple times or replaced with upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a particular kind of upgrade component that is that is used to upgrade non-amulet ascended or legendary equipment, as well as some of the items that are not ascending back.
