Three Wheeled Buggies
Whether you're looking for a buggy run around in or a stroller that can be used for the neighborhood, three-wheeled buggies offer great mobility. Their compact design makes them easy to maneuver even in tight areas.
If you are looking for an easy ride in your baby, select models with 360deg front wheels that can swivel. However, they are susceptible to punctures so be prepared with an repair kit.
Frame made of sturdy material
Recent figures have been released revealing that the three-wheeled vehicle - that noughties symbol of more money than wisdom is on the verge of disappearing. Four-wheelers have replaced them, and are more flexible and simple to drive and look fashionable.
The basic principle is that the larger the wheels are, the easier it will be for your buggy to cope with bumpy and rough pavements. With larger wheels front and back makes it much easier to maneuver and more stable when walking downhill or on difficult terrain.
MFM reviewer Kath tried this buggy on the newborn baby and a 3 wheel pushchairs-year-old child and found it extremely durable. It handled cobbles, grass and rough pavements as well as dirt tracks and kerbs. She said "it is solid to push and extremely solid when you're on rough terrain. The tyres, that are inflated and require to be pumped up regularly, have built-in suspension. This was very comfortable for my children.
The size and shape of the seat is another thing to consider. The seat should be big enough to allow your child to feel at ease and to lie down. Certain three-wheel buggies have a full lie-flat option while others will only allow an adult facing one.
The Roma Atlas is a great alternative for off-road or muddy walks. It can be used as a single from the beginning and can be modified to accommodate two children as your family expands. It is suitable for babies and toddlers until age 4 and comes with a bumper bar, raincover, a better 5-point harness, and a large cushioned seat unit. Storage options are also a plus, with a large basket with zip pockets on the hood, and an extra pouch at the rear of seat unit.
Larger wheels
Larger wheels give your buggy greater stability when driving on rough terrain. This is especially beneficial for off-road buggies. Additionally, they allow you to maneuver the pushchair 3 wheels through narrow spaces. Many three wheeled buggies have swivel front wheels to help you navigate around corners with ease, whereas others are designed for running and come with fixed front wheels that lock to increase the speed and stability with which they can be pushed. This is particularly useful when you bump against the kerb or a tree. The front wheel will be lifted slightly to keep it from hitting it.
A majority of 3 wheeler pushchairs wheeled pushchairs have air-filled tyres which allow them to tackle a broad range of terrains. They are also more flexible than 4 wheelers. They also tend to be lighter. However, they're prone to punctures, so you'll need to have a repair kit, spare inner tube, and pump on hand.
Mountain Buggy Core, Venicci Carbo and Venicci Carbo Lux are among our top 3 wheel umbrella stroller-wheelers. These buggies, according to MFM's Kath, have larger wheels, which, she says "perform well on grass, gravel roads and market town cobbles", and can easily climb or descend kerbs. They also have suspension that according to Kath "smooths out bumps extremely effectively".
Buggies with larger wheels can be quite wide and may struggle to fit in tight spaces. This could be a problem if you use it for jogging, or need to fit through doorways that are narrow while on the move. Most models come with small folding options that permit you to take off the front wheels and store them more compactly.
Easy to Manoeuvre
A three-wheel buggy can be more comfortable to drive with children. The way in which they are built means that the front wheels spin on a dime and are really easy to maneuver and are ideal for difficult terrains such as parks, cobbles, bumpy pavements and dirt tracks.
MFM reviewer Kath tested a 3 wheel stroller with bassinet wheeler with her infant and toddler and stated: "The Terrain was a pleasure to maneuver over tough terrain and the swivel front wheel being particularly helpful. I was also impressed with how well it coped with kerbs, especially when using the hand-operated brake. I found it to be extremely stable when driving downhill or over uneven ground."
The only drawback to this incredible maneuverability is that the three wheel buggy's bigger wheels sometimes mean it has to be difficult to maneuver in tight spaces - something to consider when you live in a city area. If this is an issue, a 4-wheeled buggy may be a better option for you.

Kath the MFM reviewer, also appreciated the spaciousness of the buggy. There's an easily accessible large, spacious basket that's surprising spacious for a vehicle of this size.
