Pokemon GO Upgrade Items and Components
An upgrade item is a unique item that can make certain Pokemon change. The upgrade can be obtained by spinning a PokeStop's picture disc and can be given as a reward at Pokemon GO events.
The Upgrade can also be found in armor, weapons trinkets, and gathering tools to increase their item upgrader level. The upgrade costs Flightstones or crests, based on the type of item upgrader kit.
Upgrade components
Upgrade components can be inserted into trinkets, armors, weapons and gathering tools in order to increase attributes or other bonuses while the equipment being used. The equipment that is upgraded must have an available upgrade slot to accommodate the component, and the majority of upgrade components require the item being upgraded to be at an amount. Certain upgrade items also come with special effects when applied to an item. Upgrade components can be acquired by crafting, purchased from karma traders or traded with other players on the Trading Post, taken from equipment, or as rewards in games.
A variety of upgrade components are available, each providing an individual bonus. Universal upgrades, such as gems and inscriptions are able to be applied to any type of equipment. They offer fewer bonuses than other kinds of upgrade components. Infusions are able to be used on legendary and non-amulet items, and enrichments can be utilized on certain ascended back equipment. Slotting in an upgrade component will cause the destruction of the previous upgrade. The only exceptions are glyphs which can only be used in gathering tools, as well as enchantments. Both are able to be removed and then reinserted.
Insignias or enchantments, as well as prefix/suffix upgrades will be displayed in the hover display of the item, while they are added to the equipment's name (e.g. a Radiant Insignia will change the name to Radiant Tyrian Armor). The number of upgrades that are added to an equipment piece will be visible in the tooltip of the item.
Glyphs
Glyphs are special characters that can be inserted into an OpenType font to add decorative or functional elements, such as ligatures, fractions, ornaments, swashes registered trademark symbols, and ellipses. The Glyphs Panel allows you to insert and view these special characters, along with common symbols like em and en dashes as well as trademark symbols registered to be used.
Each Glyph gives an initial boost in stats for the character. The glyph can also have up to four secondary stats that alter the radius of your Paragon Board. Secondary Stats can be described as a %-increase that is multiplied after other bonuses have been applied except for Speed Glyphs which directly increase the hero's speed.
The Glyphs in your inventory can be activated by selecting them and then clicking the "enchant" button. This will open a new window showing the Glyphs you have available that can be applied to the selected item upgrader. Be aware that only the correct type of Glyph can be applied to the selected item, as each weapon, piece of jewelry or armor piece can have a different set of available Glyphs.
You can level up Glyphs by finishing Tree of Whisper Quests or Nightmare Dungeons. The more challenging the dungeon, the higher the amount of Glyph experience you'll gain. Once a Glyph is at level 15 it is able to be upgraded via the Glyph upgrade item Altar. The upgrade of a Glyph increases its radius on the Paragon Board by one node every 15 levels.
Once a Glyph has been upgraded to its desired level, you can activate it by selecting it and then pressing the "enchant" button. The resulting glyph will give the stated bonus and increase the number of nodes within its range on the Paragon Board. Glyphs should be put where they can benefit your build the most. This is why you should prioritize Magic Glyphs as soon as possible. Rare glyphs may also offer double bonuses in the event that certain conditions are satisfied.
If you're having trouble finding a particular glyph, click the cycle widget on the Glyphs panel to show the panel in a variety of different views. Each of these views shows the Glyphs using a different font. You can narrow down the list of glyphs by choosing an option below "Entire Font". For example, punctuation is only displayed in punctuation glyphs. Math Symbols limits the choices to mathematical symbols.
Rerolling
Rerolling involves establishing an account with a brand new username in order to increase your chances of acquiring the character or weapon you'd like. This can be done to help you level up faster or to get more loot, for example, the best weapon for your current character. Many players reroll until they get the characters that they like regardless of their abilities. It could be that they like the style or the personality of the character.
When you reroll, you have to make sure that the changes you're making are clear. This means that you must verify locally that the patch passes the pre-commit tests and run a core development check. Upload the patch with a clear difference to a bug (see What is an interdiff?) ).
Rerolls can take days or weeks to complete, depending on the luck of the draw. To speed up the process avoid enemy camps that are optional during this time. In addition you should not re-do any quests that could be completed later in the game. This will save time and energy.
Another important aspect to consider when rerolling is making sure that you are aware of the upgrade system. There are several ways to boost your character's strength and appearance. Upgrades, rerolling characters and upgrading weapons are all options. Additionally, it is crucial to be aware of the limitations of the upgrade system.
Rerolling may not be an absolute requirement however it can be an effective way to increase your chances of getting a certain character or weapon. It is a great option if you're looking for the most effective character in the game or if you're wanting to test different play styles and builds.
Sets
A set is a group of objects that share common attributes (like the number of eggs in a dozen, or the members of a class). Sets can be used to perform operations such as union, intersection and difference.
Upgrades make a set item more effective than it was prior to. This means that weapons and armor will have a greater defense and lower requirement for strength.
Upgrading can be an excellent way to bring popular single-set items up to level with their higher-tiered set counterparts. For example upgrading Guillaume's Face helm to an Elite Spired Helm increases the defense from 217 to 321 while reducing the strength requirement and level requirement to a more attainable range.
It is important to keep in mind that not all items in the set are suitable for upgrading. Certain sets, such as the FB Sorc spec Whistan's shield and Naj's puzzler staff are already exceptional in their own way and don't require any upgrades. On the other hand, certain items that are BiS and are used frequently (like Goldwrap) may benefit from being upgraded to improve their stats even more. It could be worthwhile to upgrade these items.
