World of Warcraft Item Upgrade and Set Bonuses
The upgrade for an item is an enchantment that increases the stats of a specific weapons or armor. This includes tertiary statistics like Leech and Speed.

Leveling
The upgrade system lets players enhance items by increasing their level. The level increase also boosts the item upgrader mod's "guaranteed" bonuses. Each level upgrade boosts the stats on the item by 3 and gives an additional bonus based on the level of the item. These extras could range from a +1 up to +3 bonus to an unspecified buff or debuff.
Each item level upgrade can be upgraded for a specific amount of times. After the upgrade the item is completed, it can be upgraded to a better-quality product of equal or greater worth.
This system is very useful for players who wish to obtain gear with a certain level of stats before having the chance to acquire an item that is new. The transfer system is user-friendly and allows players to save up on upgrades materials.
upgrade item materials are gathered when the player clears their cache of content. They are used to improve or replace an item. Each item requires a specific kind of upgrade item material. Weapons require Destruction Stones, while armor requires Guardian or Harmony Leapstones. When an item is upgraded, these materials are changed in their names. For instance, Stone Fragments becomes Stones and Harmony Shards becomes Life Shards.
It is crucial to upgrade Item items to increase the performance of a character. However it is also crucial to think about how much this will cost. Each time an item is upgraded, it will cost an amount of gold that could be better used on a new piece of gear. This is the reason it's recommended to upgrade the most crucial items in a given scenario.
This usually involves upgrading the weapon first followed by the legs and chest before the helm. Upgrade trinkets in this phase when the player has the money to do so. This will increase their potential for procs. Upgrades to a high-end Throne of Thunder item may be worth it due to the increased damage it can cause. Rerolling

Once you reach the level 6 upgrade items goal, it's generally better to reroll and discover the most powerful upgrades or save money to buy the next set of items. This will ensure that you have a robust roster by the time you hit your goal of upgrading to level 9.
The process of rerolling is similar to the level-up system. Reroll tokens are a way to eliminate any Level Up option from your item and swap it for another. Reroll tokens, unlike Level Up do not reset an item's level. This means that, in the event that you reroll an upgraded item, it will not be at the same level and not have its bonus.
Players can also use an additional mechanic, Eliminate, to remove any Level Up option they have on their equipment or weapons. This is beneficial when you have a bad gacha or you want to reroll an item with five stars. You'll need to set up an account from scratch or sign in via social media.
Similarly, there is an Occultist in each town which can be visited to alter a weapon's or armor's Aspects and/or stats. This is useful if have a five-star unit that you want to make better, or if you have an elite four-star character that you are struggling with.
Another method to reroll an item is to use the rerolling tokens that are obtained by completing quests. These can be bought from the Occultist at 300 gold, or found in holozons, which are dropped in certain dungeons. You can roll any weapon, armor, or ring simply by moving the icon on the page of your unit with the lock to the desired slot.
Sets
A set is a collection of things that have a certain amount of similarity. You will use sets on a regular basis like a dozen eggs or a group of friends. Sets are helpful in organizing things and utilizing operations such as intersection, union and difference to manage them efficiently. Sets can be used in a variety of different ways, from organizing music in a playlist to classifying students based on their grades.
In Nioh the game uses Sets to create special effects when players wear pieces from a particular armor set. These bonuses, also known as Set Bonuses, are comparable to and sometimes better than Effects. While it is not explained in-universe why the armor sets must be worn together to create these extra effects, they do give some variety when playing the game. The armor sets that come with Set Bonuses can be found many places around Hyrule like the Dark Moon Temple and Twilight Temple.
Set Bonuses are included with every piece of equipment in the Set. The tooltip near the bottom of the item will inform you which Set Bonuses are offered. Set Bonuses are displayed in a box that has a red border.
Some of these Set Bonuses are exclusive to a specific piece equipment. For instance, if you purchase the full Phantom Armor set you will receive +8 defense (compared to the usual +3 defense included in most gear). Other sets are only available by completing certain quests or purchasing them from the Auction House.
It is also possible to obtain Set Bonuses for multiple pieces of equipment simultaneously. If you have the entire Kestra's Descent Set and the matching pieces of Twinblade of Shadow, you will be able to get the + version of the set's bonus if you match them.
Set Bonuses are the same, even if the equipment to which they are connected is upgraded. If an item is exemplarized to levels that are not enough the set bonus will stop working.
Set bonuses
Set bonuses are unique effects that can appear on a set of equipment that grants a bonus in combat. They grant a specific amount of a certain type of stat, for example weapon damage, defenses, or resistances. They don't stack, however; only one of them will be active at any given time. The amount of a certain stat is determined by the number of pieces of the set have been used which means you can have three chests and one armour, and four weapons, for instance. however only the one with the most bonus will benefit you.
They typically boost the primary stat, but some increase secondary stats too. Defence bonuses boost three positional defence values and two types of defenses. For example the five-piece Hundings Rage set will give you 400 defense in your gear. This is a significant increase in your gear as a melee.
This is a very useful feature, and it is believed to be among the most popular features in the game. There are currently only a few gear sets have set bonuses, and they are only available in the Test Realm, but expect this number to rise once the update is live. For instance, the extremely popular 7 school specific Dragoon's gear will have its bonus added as soon as the update is live.
While Set Bonuses cannot stack within the same set, they can stack between different sets. This is great for those who wish to utilize the most optimal combination of sets. However, it does require some planning. Set bonuses only affect the shell (not the armoring or mods) of an item of equipment, so you must be cautious when putting them in.
It is important to remember that the value of a set's bonus will not change regardless of whether your exemplar level is more than three levels below the minimum required for an Enhancement. This rule is not applicable to purple (Very rare) Sets, PvP Sets and Archetype Origin Sets. Their set bonuses are in effect regardless of the exemplar level.
