From Alternative Lifestyle Wiki

Throne and Liberty Gear Upgrades

Upgrades can boost the power of a piece of gear and at times even add additional features. The value of these upgrades is determined by the levels of gear, their requirements, and how many random augmentations are made available.

The elite racial Shield Razortail, for example, is usually upgraded to improve its lightning absorption capability in PvP, and/or to provide additional defenses to missile-based builds in the PvM. This makes it more exchangeable over the unupgraded version.

Reroll Tokens

Reroll tokens permit you to buy a new item, such as a weapon, armor or ring. The item is replaced by another of the same kind and comes with different benefits. Reroll tokens can be an efficient method of upgrading equipment. However, they don't retain the quality of the original item, and any wasted resources aren't refunded.

Survivors may acquire reroll tokens via a variety of methods such as the Mistery Box or as rare drops from skulled creatures. They can also be found in crates and chests, or purchase them from the store for $150 each. Reroll tokens can be used to change an attribute of an item for example, increasing its damage or giving it a new stat.

Players can reroll their equipment into three attributes: physical power, magic power, and health. Upgrades to physical power boost the damage caused by weapons and melee attack, while upgrades to spell power increase the damage of mage attacks and the ring. Health upgrades give the player an additional level of health.

There are three kinds of Reroll tokens: upgrade rare, and legendary. Each upgrade elevates the item to a higher quality. To make them, you'll need an upgrade level reroll token. Upgrades require a standard item upgrade. Rare upgrades require an item that is exclusive or legendary. Legendary upgrades require three legendary pieces.

The marker that rerolls, unlike markers or tokens placed on action areas, remains on the space until the next success is being rerolled. This lets you save upgrades.

Blueprints are envelopes which appear at the beginning of each Preparation phase. They can be opened using Interact by grabbing on to them. When they are opened, they display a description and icon for the appliance or ingredient. Blueprints can be exchanged for new appliance or ingredient in the restaurant's shop for a small amount of coins.

This means that you can move blueprints between the Staple Pool (which is the default pool) and the Non-staple Pool during a run. This changes the kind of blueprints that a restaurant's shop offers for rerolls and which are available in the non-droppable Pool.

Growthstones

Weapons and armor, as well as accessories can be upgraded in Throne and Liberty using Growth Stones. These are special stones that increase the level of an item by increasing its stats and abilities. The amount of Growth Stones needed to upgrade an item will depend on its rarity. Most often, rare (blue) weapons require more than one green Growth Stone to reach their next level, while uncommon armor requires just one blue or green Growth Stone.

After choosing the item to upgrade, the player has to select the number of Growth Stones that they want to use and pay for the cost.
