Throne and Liberty Gear Upgrades
Upgrades can increase the stats of a piece and at times even add additional features. The value of these upgrade is determined by the gear's tiers, their requirements, and the number of random augmentations can be applied.
For example, the elite racial shield Razortail is usually upgraded to improve its lightning absorb ability in PvP, or to add additional defenses on missile based builds in PvM. This makes it more exchangeable over the unupgraded version.
Reroll Tokens
Reroll tokens allow you to reroll a purchased item, such as a weapon, armor or ring. The item is replaced with another item of the same type and comes with different benefits. Reroll tokens are an affordable way to upgrade gear. They don't preserve the original item's level, and any resources wasted won't get compensated.
Survivors can obtain tokens to reroll in many ways, including through the Mistery Box and rare drops from skulled creatures. They are also available in chests and crates or purchase them from the store for $150 each. Reroll tokens are used to change the attribute of an item of equipment such as increasing the damage it can cause.
Players can reroll their equipment into three aspects: physical power, magic power and health. Physical power upgrades increase the damage that weapons and melee attacks and spell power improves rings and mage attacks. Health upgrades give the player additional health.
There are three types of Reroll tokens: upgrade, rare and legendary. Each of these upgrades an item to a higher quality, with the requirement of a higher-quality reroll token order to produce it. Enhanced upgrades require a common item, rare upgrades require a special or a legendary item, and legendary upgrades require three legendary items.
The marker that rerolls, unlike markers or tokens that are placed on action areas, remains on the space until the next success is being rerolled. This helps you not waste upgrades.
Blueprints appear in the form of envelopes at the beginning of each Preparation Phase, and are opened by grabbing them with Interact. Once they are open they will display a complete description and the icon of the corresponding Appliance or Ingredient. Blueprints can be exchanged to purchase a new Appliance or Ingredient in the restaurant's store for a small amount of coins.
During the course of a game, blueprints can be transferred between the Staple Pool and the Non-staple pool based on chosen Franchise Cards. This affects the kind of blueprints that a restaurant's shop sells for rerolls and which are available in the Non-droppable Pool.
Growthstones
Weapons such as armor, weapons, and other accessories can be upgraded in Throne and Liberty using Growth Stones. These are special stones that can increase the level of an item by increasing its stats and attributes. They can be found by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs located in the main towns. Contract Coin Merchants will sell them for a fee. Additionally, players can acquire these stones by completing daily contracts.
To upgrade gear, the player must first locate the item, then click the "level up button". This will display a list of the item's levels and what it will become when it is upgraded. It will also display the amount of Growth Stones needed to accomplish this. The number of Growth Stones required to upgrade an item upgrader kit will depend on its rarity. Most often rare (blue) weapons require more than one green Growth Stone to reach their next level, whereas uncommon armor requires just one blue or green Growth Stone.
After deciding on the item to upgrade, the user must choose the number of Growth Stones that they want to purchase and pay the cost. Once the requirements are met, the player can then click on the upgrade button to apply the Growth Stones to the item. This will increase the item's level by a certain percentage. The upgrade process can last anywhere from seconds to several minutes, based on the rarity of the item level upgrade.
The upgrade process is safe and doesn't impact the durability of the item. This makes the system an ideal way for players to gain an advantage in combat without straining their bank accounts. Clicking on the "transfer tab" players can transfer the experience and progression of an upgraded item onto an entirely new piece of equipment.
New players may find it difficult to obtain Growth Stones. There are many ways to obtain the stones. You can finish contracts and purchase them from Contract Coin Merchants, defeat Abyssal Contracts, get them from the Equipment Stone Seal Book or collect them from reward chests during the Ancient Arena Season. Additionally, players can break down higher-level Growth Stones to create multiple lower-level ones.
Leveling
Leveling is a feature that allows you to boost the stats of armor and weapons. You can also upgrade items trinkets as well as helms. It is achieved by adding upgrade components at the Upgrade Station, paying a fee of Happy Stars or Happy Tickets. The upgrade components will be consumed and the item will gain a higher level. This process can be repeated until the maximum level for an item has been attained.
Items with upgraded stats will have a blue icon next to their slot. Upgrade components, unlike enchantments cannot be applied to more than one item at a time. Each upgrade item component requires the purchase of a certain amount of items and a minimum equipment level.
The Upgrade Station has two slots: the first is where players can add a piece of equipment to be upgraded, and the right slot shows a preview of what the equipment will appear like when it reaches its next level. Pressing the yellow arrow when the player has enough materials will start the upgrading process.
A piece of equipment can be upgraded a maximum of five times. Each time an item is upgraded, its stats will be increased by a small percentage. The maximum level of an item is 19.
Once an item has reached its highest level, upgrades will no longer be available to it. When an item reaches a specific upgrade track (e.g. Veteran or Explorer), upgrades for the track will be offered at discounts.
Upgrade components are a kind of equipment that can slot into armors, weapons trinkets, tools for gathering and weapons to provide an extra effect or attribute bonus when the equipment is being used. They can be purchased from vendors, looted or obtained through quests or exchanged between players. Upgrade components can be replaced with new ones, but doing so will damage the previous upgrade, with the exception of for glyphs, which can be removed and replaced freely.
Requirements
item upgrades (the full details) give players the ability to boost certain attributes of weapons and armor they currently own. The requirements for upgrading an item will vary based on the type of item however, generally you'll require Dilithium and a variety of Upgrade Tokens (various options available).
The items can be upgraded by adding item upgrade components to weapons and equipment. These will provide more effects or an improved level of the item. The upgrades can be acquired from a variety of sources within the game, including through crafting, bought at the Trading Post or karma vendors or looted from bosses or raids, or retrieved from dungeons. Once an upgrade component has been added to an object it is not able to be removed or replaced. However, glyphs can be swapped freely.
The upgrade of an item can boost its Mark Level and/or Rarity. Some upgrade components come with additional modifiers that can increase the stats of the item.
For example, the helm upgrade "Foundation of the Sun" increases base defense, and provides an additional 20% chance of blocking. Additionally the dps upgrade "Wildfire" boosts weapon damage.
Some items benefit from being upgraded not so much for their improved stats, but because it allows players to get the most value from a flawless roll on the item. For instance, a flawlessly rolled 200/6 504 armor set piece is highly valued in the melee PvP community and could be worth 20-50x more than the non-upp'd version.
The game will display the requirements once you choose the upgrade component to be incorporated into the item. The game will show the requirements required when you select an upgrade component to slot into an item.
Once you've met the required requirements for an upgrade, the game will place the item in your inventory, and the progress bar will change to show how close you are to completing it. You can also track the status of an item upgrade by visiting any NPC who upgrades items.
